Porcelain Sugar Skull Oxidized Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace

This pendant was hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal and wire. It features a handmade porcelain skull cabochon from a very talented ceramic artist. This skull is spectacular! The skull is bezel set with a fine silver, serrated edge wire. I used heavy gauge square wire to create a shadowbox type of setting. The lone accent is a crossbones casting. The metal was oxidized and given a brushed finish. I left the interior of the shadowbox heavily oxidized for contrast to the skull. Hung from an oxidized sterling silver wheat chain.

The pendant (including bail) is 2" in length and 1.5" in width. The wheat chain is 18" in length and 1.6 mm in width.
