Fossil Clam Shell Scalloped Edge Oxidized Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace

This pendant was hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal & wire. It features a fossil clam shell, bezel set in fine silver. This is a natural shell, and it has a curved bottom. I had to file the bezel to fit the curve of the stone. I did my best to keep it smooth, but there are a couple small spots where my filing is obvious. I've taken this tiny imperfection into consideration when pricing. I gave the setting a scalloped edge with heavy gauge round wire. The scallops are meant to mimic the natural scallop pattern in the shell. The metal was oxidized and wax was applied to the heavy oxidized areas, to help preserve the oxidation. Hung from an oxidized sterling silver foxtail chain.

The pendant is 1.50" in length and 1.5" in width. The foxtail chain is 1.7 mm in width and 18" in length.
